 "FANTASTIC TV" 2009-11-23
By Bradley Cote
I purchased this TV in June 2009, and it is probably one of the better purchases I have made in a long time. I did a ton of research when looking to purchase a TV, and in all of my research, this had the best picture quality I have seen. The price on this model is not the cheapest, but I have noticed that with HDTV's, you get what you pay for. I didn't mind sinking in some additional money when I saw how fantastic the picture quality was.

The presets on the TV aren't necessarily the best..do a little research on the Internet (type in TC-P46G10 in the search engine of your choice) to learn the settings to get the best picture quality. Once you have these presets done, this TV is amazing!

"Review for Delivery Service Only" 2009-11-18
By Irvinder kaur (NH, USA)
I just installed this TV so am not able to comment on the TV itself but I wish to definitely add something regarding the way TV was delivered. The delivery was supposed to be done by Pilot and it is a white glove service but they subcontracted it to somebody else. So far so good but this guy drives up in an old van with my TV lying flat in the van and alone!!! The shipping label mentions "2 men". This is a 80lb. TV. Nonetheless the delivery guy is supposed to open the package and take the packing materials but he just left it like that in my room..So I must say that it was very unprofessional...I called Amazon and let them know about this..I must say that Amazon's customer service is very helpful and courteous though.

"Great TV for excellent price" 2009-11-05
By Louis M. Bell (Evanston, IL USA)
An excellent TV, fairly straightforward to use, excellent picture. We wanted to upgrade from a 32" 720p Vizio to a larger 1080p HDTV in our family room. The better quality LCD TVs quickly exceeded the price of this TV. Plus plasma produces a brighter picture, and with 600Hz refresh rate, there is none of the ghosting or motion blur you sometimes see with LCD TVs. This is upper middle-class in Panasonic's line-up, and we are delighted. Hooked up to a HD digital cable/DVR box and great picture (other than when the digital signal from our provider has issues). Beautiful picture from Blu-ray discs (BBC PlanetEarth series is absolutely gorgeous). We are really pleased with this after nearly 2 months of use.

The three HDMI ports are quite adequate for our Blu-ray player and cable box. There is still one free if we choose to add another hi-def source.

Panasonic includes VeraCast, which connects to the internet and allows you to see Utube and other internet video. Unfortunately, our home network is wireless, and the connection is coax ethernet. We will need a wireless to ethernet adapter to use the feature. It would have been nice to have a USB port or other option for networking.

The set is also Energy Star, although we don't have a sense of energy usage yet. The set is highly rated elsewhere.

 "Incredible Picture Incredible Value" 2009-11-04
By William R. Diefenbach (Seattle, WA)
Bought this TV on the advise of a high-end video fanatic friend when I told him I wanted a great TV on a small budget. The picture quality is phenominal! The set-up was easy and the whte-glove delivery folks were excellent. The process could not have been easier. The sound quality of the built-in speakers is poor, however. While waiting for my new AV receiver to arrive I tried connecting my subwoofer alone to the TV and the change was dramatic. With a real AV set-up the theatrical experience is amazing.

I connected the TV via ethernet to take advantage of the Viera Link functionality. It works very well and is easy to set up and intuitive to use. I rented an Amazon HD movie and found the experience to be flawless - no digital chatter and an almost non-existant buffer period. It's too bad there aren't better controls for FF, rewind, etc but you can still pause. Also, the YouTube experience via Viera Link is quite good.

Overall a fantastic TV with a picture quality you won't be able to exceed without spending at least twice as much.

 "Second Panasonic plasma" 2009-11-03
By Hupp (Grand Rapids, MI)
Own a bar and installed a 42" 720 dpi Panasonic 4 years ago and was quite happy with it so I upgraded the old Mitsubishi 32" at home with the 46" G10 based upon the bar experience and CNET reviews. Went out and bought a Saunders do it yourself stand(2 hours assembly time but no divorce) for $149 and the wife and I installed the G10 ourselves. At the same time I upgraded our Direct DVR receiver at no charge as we have been customers for over 10 years. I have no complaints with the G10. I watch lots of sports and the MSNBC financial station which has a plethora of graphics all around the edge of the screen and the clarity of the print is excellent. 2 windows in the room, one almost behind the set and another on the left wall as you face the screen and no bothersome reflections. Watched the Lions last Sunday but the beautiful picture didn't improve the team.

Rented a house in Florida for 2 months last year and it had about the same size Sony Bravia XBR. I think the picture on the Panasonic is better, although, in fairness to Sony, I don't know how old it was.
